Plugins can be detrimental to your development

If you want to be a real programmer/developer you need to realize that relying too heavily on plugins will not make you a better at your craft. Your job is to read, analyze and write code with the goal of providing solutions. What happens when the plugins you installed don't work properly or need to be adjusted. Then you have to contact a "real" programmer to provide a solution. The universe of pseudo programmers consists of DBAs, QA's, Web Desingers, Bloggers, Progject Managers, accountants, etc. all skilled in there craft. Just don't ask them to debug code and create code to fix application errors located in program files.
